Grifters looking to make a quick buck have been turning to online classified ads placed in newspapers to line their pockets. The ads placed often relate to sales of high value merchandise (laptops, TVs, vehicles, etc.) and include the seller’s cell phone number. Press rights at a protest

In an effort to help journalists understand their rights at protests and avoid arrest when reporting on these events, in 2018, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press created a guide that summarizes the legal landscape and provides strategies and tools to help journalists avoid incidents with police and navigate them successfully should they arise.
