It’s an honor to write the final column in the Jupiter Courier Newsweekly, which ends after this issue. But it’s painful to see the closing of a publication that has had such a distinguished history and has been so much a part of our community.
For almost 62 years, ever since former vaudeville performer and later secretary Mitzi Stieper debuted a mimeographed shopper called “Highlights” on Oct. 3, 1957, this institution has served the greater Jupiter area in one form or another.
