You’re Invited! FAF June 24 Tribute to Rosemary O’Hara
Rosemary Goudreau O’Hara’s legendary career in journalism deserves a celebration, so the First Amendment Foundation invites you to her party! Having recently retired as editorial page editor of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, she has also held important positions at The Tampa Tribune, The Orlando Sentinel, and The Miami Herald. Rosemary was a member of the Sun Sentinel team that won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for its coverage of the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Most recently, Rosemary played a critical role in launching the acclaimed “Invading Sea” series, a groundbreaking collaboration with four South Florida media organizations addressing the impacts of climate change.
On Thursday, June 24, Rosemary’s admirers will hold a virtual celebration of Rosemary and her career to benefit the First Amendment Foundation which shares Rosemary’s commitment to open government and freedom of the press.
